Ark prevent timeout downloading mods

In steam, do the following: "View" then click "Settings". The settings window will open, there click the tab "Downloads". At the bottom, you should have a checkbox named "Allow downloads during gameplay" which needs to be checked for the ark to be able to download mods while the game is .  · @ pm. while attempting to join and then timed out, you should be able to go to your game folder and find the mod folder. even though it didn't download the mod fully, it should have created the mod folder and that has the mod number. then go find it on the workshop and subscribe to it. #3.
